The third year of ringing on the Chituc spit proved to be of an unexpected success: if the first 70 days of camp (from July 24th to October 1st) only 6459 birds were ringed, the last four weeks brought 5687 birds, among which two new species for the Romanian avifaunistic list and several species with less than 15 observations in the country. The 2012 events from the stork nest with web camera

The events in the stork nest with the mounted web camera from Dumbrăvioara could be followed this year also on the Milvus Group webpage, unfortunately with some interruptions. In this year the camera was changed to a night-vision one, thus the storks in the nest were visible also in the dark. Same as last year, this year the events turned out very interesting and surprising. (more…)
