For seven days, the city of Brașov was the capital of nature documentary film and nature photography, making it the perfect venue for the presentation of awards to the creators of the best works entered in the Milvus International Nature Photography Contest.

The 17th edition of the prestigious competition, organised by the Milvus Group and FORONA, attracted 2,610 photographs submitted by 211 photographers from 36 countries around the world. Following extensive deliberations, the professional jury selected and awarded the finest entries during the Lynx Festival Gala.

• 1st Place: Sunrise light – Daniel Drelciuc (Romania)

• 2nd Place: The Ark of Birds – Małgorzata Zimnoch (Poland)

• 3rd Place: Ice – Levente Márki (Hungary)

Wildlife Category:

• 1st Place: Phalarope neckless – Terje Kolaas (Norway)
• 2nd Place: Rain in Kalahari, Botswana – Andrei Daniel Mihalca (Romania)
• 3rd Place: Crossroads – Mario Suárez Porras (Spain)

Nature of Romania Category:

• 1st Place: Fire mud – Bogdan Pencea (Romania)
• 2nd Place: Fading Silhouettes – Rareș Macarie (Romania)
• 3rd Place: Sporiferous tubes – Mihály Kinga (Romania)

Junior Category:

• 1st Place: Alone… but not lost – Vlad Masnitz (Romania)

People’s Choice Award:

• Safe platform – Rajarshi Banerji (India)

Impact Award:

• Above the burning world – Srikanth Santhinathan (India)
