We had a busy day at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Rarely do we have the opportunity, to release 14 cured birds in one day. The place chosen for the release was Valea Nirajului in Mures county, and the “residents” of the centre who took flight were:
✔️ 10 white storks (9 young and one adult);
✔️ 2 common kestrels;
✔️ one little owl;
✔️ one long-legged buzzard.
The storks came to us from all over the country with various health problems. The little owl was run over by a car and its survival was uncertain at first. The buzzard arrived at our centre with a wound on its wing and needed treatment with antibiotics.
Thanks to Vets4Wild veterinarian Borka-Vitalis Levente and all the sponsors and supporters who make our work to rehabilitate injured wild species possible.
