This is the time of year when many chicks come to us, having fallen out of the nest and still unable to thrive in the wild. The two seagulls were found on the streets of Cluj Napoca and transported to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, from where they made their way to our centre. After less than two weeks of care, the moment they had been waiting for arrived.
On a beautiful summer day, our experts thought it was time for them to join other seagulls. This time we were joined by our ambassador, TVR reporter Simona Boanta. Simona was excited to experience the joy of releasing the animals with us.
Choosing where to release them is not always an easy task. After a long search, we managed to find a gull colony at the lakes near Fărăgău in Mures county.
We were delighted to see that the released chicks had been noticed by the adult birds and we were sure that they had been released in the right place.
