[singlepic id=471 w=200 h=120 float=left]On 30th of January 2011, four Milvus Group members along with inspectors from the Arad County Police Inspectorate conducted a control on the animal market in Arad city. The aim was to detect the occurring irregularities regarding the illegal trade of songbirds from the native fauna. During the control we identified three illegal traders those who offer together for sale 8 Goldfinches and 2 Greenfinches. All birds were confiscated, ringed and then released, and vendors have received warning from the police. As in previous months, in future we will continue to conduct such inspections too, and we will request the competent authorities to penalize the illegal traders.
