In this spring, the law relative to Hunting and Game Managenemt has been changed in the benefit of the Red-footed Falcon (Falco vespertinus)! The Rook (Corvus frugilegus) was recently allowed to hunt all of the year and rookeries are preferred by this species for nesting. Pursuant to the new law change, the Rook can’t be hunt between 15 march and 15 august, ths period completly covers the breeding season of the falcons. For the compliance of the law, we permanently control the colonies within the project „Conservation of Falco vespertinus in the Pannonian Region” – LIFE 05 NAT/H/000122.
