By exploring the world of birds, children not only develop their scientific curiosity and observational skills but also learn fundamental values such as respect for life, responsibility towards the environment, and the importance of biodiversity conservation.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the ERASMUS+ ‘Creative Methodologies for Sustainability Education Inspired by Birds (CREA+BiRD)’ project, which focuses on educating future generations about birds and the interconnectivity between humans and nature.

The project partners include one university and one civil organisation from four countries: Finland, Italy, Slovenia, and Romania, where our partner is the West University of Timișoara.
This project aims to contribute to sustainable education by supporting the systemic understanding of the interdependence between humans and nature, through students’ knowledge of bird life, as indicators of the health of ecosystems.
This project endeavors to empower educators with innovative methodologies and practical tools, enabling them to deliver more impactful sustainability education. Consequently, they will be better equipped to guide students towards a comprehensive understanding of environmental and societal challenges. Simultaneously, students will gain insights into the principles of a responsible lifestyle and discover tangible ways to contribute to environmental stewardship.
The ERASMUS+ project ‘Creative Methodologies for Sustainability Education Inspired by Birds’ runs from 2025 to 2027, and among other things, will result in the development of educational materials that can be used in schools.
