Become a stork guardian!

We are looking for nature lovers who enjoy birds and would be happy to observe the life of stork nests near their homes. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to become a stork guardian!

Being a stork guardian means regularly monitoring the nest or nests you choose and recording key events from the storks’ arrival until their migration at the end of summer. The two most important pieces of information are the date of arrival and the number of fledglings, but any other observations related to the nest’s life are valuable, such as:

  • pair formation,
  • egg-laying and the start of incubation,
  • hatching and the fledglings’ first flights,
  • the death of adult storks or chicks,
  • nest damage, etc.

The data you collect helps us gain a better understanding of stork populations, their changes, and their behaviour. This information enables us to implement more effective conservation measures.
