It seems that this winter we can expect a new wave of invasion of Waxwings (Bombycilla garrulus) also in Romania. As in the winter 2004-2005, Milvus Group decided to collect all the possible data of the species again, in order to evaluate this influx’s magnitude and spatial distribution in Romania. We apply for all who have any Waxwing data from the 2012-2013’s winter period, we ask them to send these data to the following e-mail address szilárd.daroczi@milvus.ro with the subject “bombycilla”. We will collect these data up to 1^st May 2013. Please provide the following information about the observations: date, locality name (or GPS location), county, number of observed birds and the observer(s) name. After data analysis and processing we will inform all the observers about the results of the survey!
