Think about it: if we saw a child alone or crying in a park, we wouldn’t immediately take them away and bring them to an orphanage. We would try to understand the situation and see if their parents are nearby. It’s exactly the same in nature.

The Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre has been overwhelmed by baby birds who probably didn’t need rescuing at all. These chicks were brought to the Vets4Wild clinic by well-meaning people who removed them without first consulting a specialist.
