A pair of storks will nest in safetly in Sîntu, Mureș County

Last year a tragedy ocurred in Sîntu, Mureș County. A summer storm devastated the entire area and the nest took fire after being hit by a lightning. At the end of the summer, the birds started to construct a nest on a nearby pole, kind of signaling us where they want their new home. Than, they started the long journey to Africa. Călin Sîrbu, a stork lover got in touch with us to help the birds, and Milvus Group provided Electrica a special support design by us. The device was mounted recently, just in time for the storks to find a home at their return. We thank all those that helped the story to have a happy end. (more…)

Big eagle “reunion”! 15 Imperial Eagles observed

On 25th December 2017 a total of 15 Imperial Eagles (Aquila heliaca) were observed in Arad county  (Western Plain of Romania), which is a record number for the region but also for the country. Most of the birds were young (1-2 calendary years), but there were also three third plumage, one subadult (fourth plumage) and one adult bird.  (more…)
