Péter Kecskés graduated from the Faculty of Ecology at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. In order to deepen his knowledge of nature, he later enrolled at the Faculty of Environmental Science at Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania in Târgu Mureș, while simultaneously completing his master’s studies, specialising in terrestrial and aquatic ecology.

His passion is bats, a group he considers fascinating and often misunderstood by most people.
From 2019 onwards, Péter became involved as a volunteer with the Milvus Group. Over his six years of activity, he took part in numerous monitoring programmes and also helped at the Ringing camp in Grindul Chituc.
However, he truly stood out in educational activities for children. Friendly and always open in his interactions with them, he easily captured their attention, and the children would gather around him, fascinated by his stories about the beauty of nature and the diversity of species that surround us.
Péter shared that he hopes the younger generation will look up from their phones and discover the nature around them, and he aims to inspire this through the environmental education sessions he delivers.
We wish him every success in everything he has set out to achieve, and warmly welcome him to the team!
