On a day that was forecast to be rainy, we gathered in a blooming meadow to collect wild plant seeds using a specialised seed harvester purchased as part of the DiverSEED<\/strong> project.<\/span> \n<\/span><\/p>

The location was chosen following a detailed assessment of the local vegetation, with species typical of meadow habitats<\/strong> present here, such as cross gentian<\/strong> (<\/span>Gentiana cruciata<\/span><\/i>), deptford pink<\/strong> (<\/span>Dianthus armeria<\/span><\/i>), wild oregano<\/strong> (<\/span>Origanum vulgare<\/span><\/i>), field scabious<\/strong> (<\/span>Knautia arvensis<\/span><\/i>), and betony<\/strong> (<\/span>Stachys oficinalis<\/span><\/i>).<\/span><\/p>

Together with our partners from the DiverSEED project \u2013 representatives of Fundatia ADEPT Transilvania<\/strong> \u2013 and guided by Harvey Sherwood<\/strong>, a British expert in seed collection with extensive knowledge of the equipment, we got to work.<\/span><\/p>
