{"id":47280,"date":"2025-05-15T10:48:38","date_gmt":"2025-05-15T07:48:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/black-vulture-dies-from-electrocution\/"},"modified":"2025-05-15T15:03:36","modified_gmt":"2025-05-15T12:03:36","slug":"black-vulture-dies-from-electrocution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/en\/black-vulture-dies-from-electrocution\/","title":{"rendered":"Black vulture dies from electrocution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/en\/vulture-emergency-landing\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">story of <strong>Fremuth<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>,<\/strong> we now have another tragic incident to report.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A cinereous (black) vulture fitted with a GPS transmitter left Bulgarian airspace on April 21 and entered Romania. The <strong>Milvus Group<\/strong>, as the Romanian partner of the <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/en\/projects\/bearded-vulture-life\/\"><i>Bearded Vulture LIFE<\/i> project<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&nbsp; is responsible, amongst others, for <strong>tracking the tagged bird&#8217;s movements while it is within the country.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The vulture, named <strong>B012<\/strong>, spent eight days in Romania: initially near Bucharest, then two days in D\u00e2mbovi\u021ba County.
