They include many endangered or threatened species that can only survive in specific wetland habitats and nowhere else. Photo: M\u00e1ty\u00e1s Fej\u00e9r-Kir\u00e1ly<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first step in protecting these areas is understanding both the benefits of preserving them and the consequences of their destruction or disappearance.<\/span><\/p><p>This was also the focus of an activity we organised to mark this occasion at a school in Voivodeni (Mure\u0219 County).
