It&#8217;s when they test their wings and learn their flying techniques under the watchful eyes of adults. That&#8217;s why in July, the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center&#8217;s emergency hotline is busy with bird lovers reporting stork chicks that have fallen out of their nests, been hit by cars, weakened or even electrocuted. Unluckily for the three of them, their nest caught fire after a heavy storm and fell down the pole.
