This is why each and every one of us need to act to ensure that wetlands don\u2019t disappear.&#13;\n<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Story-WWD24_Square_video_EN.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Source: https:\/\/www.worldwetlandsday.org\/<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 30 August 2021 the <strong>UN General Assembly<\/strong> adopted a <strong>resolution that established 2 February as World Wetlands Day<\/strong>. \u201c<strong>Wetlands and Human Wellbeing<\/strong>\u201d is the theme for World Wetlands Day 2024. Every wetland counts and every effort, no matter how small it may seem, counts. By understanding the significance and contribution of the wetlands and by ensuring their sustainable use by managing them wisely we can make a huge difference.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout its 30 years of existence, <strong>Milvus Group<\/strong> has carried out several projects, which aimed, among others, to protect these wetlands, by developing<strong> management plans for several Natura 2000 sites<\/strong>, the last one being a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/en\/proiecte\/poim\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">project<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> focused on the Mures River.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Our existence depends on water and yet, we managed (since 1700 until now) to destroy 80% of the Earth\u2019s wetlands, these being the most endangered ecosystems on the planet.
