From 20-25 January<\/strong>, we’ll be searching, again, for White-throated dippers<\/strong> along the rivers.<\/p>

This species, which breeds alongside mountain streams with their raging waters, spends the winter in the foothills or in large gorges where it is a few degrees warmer and the water rarely freezes completely. This makes it easier to count them and see the fluctuations in the numbers of breeding populations along streams.<\/p>

Milvus Group coordinates counts at two sites <\/strong>(along the rivers Mure\u0219<\/a> and Cri\u0219ul Repede<\/a>) where we survey longer stretches of the river, but in addition, smaller teams can also visit waterfronts in several locations around the country.<\/p>
