The comfort of civilization puts great pressure on nature and its resources. The effects?
Reducing, fragmenting and \/ or destroying habitats, natural ecosystems and landscapes as a whole, or disrupting to almost disappearance of wildlife populations. The causes of these effects are varied and often difficult to control, generating man-nature conflicts.
Together with the WWF Danube Carpathian Program Romania, Ecotur Sibiu Association and Propark-Protected Foundation and in collaboration with EPC Environmental Consultancy, Association Milvus Group has coordinated the drafting of three good practice guides in the following sectors: micro-hydropower plants, wind energy and road infrastructure.
The guides are focusing on avoiding and reducing the environmental impact generated by development projects in these sectors, we are targeting: project coordinators, designers \/ builders, environmental experts, environmental authorities, protected area managers \/ custodians, environmental non-governmental organizations and the general public.
The guides were drafted between 2013 and 2016, in the frame of the “Natura 2000 and Rural Development in Romania” project, financed by the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Program and coordinated by the WWF Danube Carpathian Program Romania.
