Due to its specific anatomy, if it confuses wet asphalt with a body of water, once landed cannot take off.<!--more--> On the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> of June 2016 we were notified about a black-necked grebe &#8220;stranded&#8221; in a yard in Corunca village. After a quick medical exam by our colleague at Vets4Wild, the bird was ringed and released in the outskirts of T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219. 149 days and 2789 km later, it was recaptured alive and well in Huelva, Spain.\n\nThis is a good news, and it complements the other information we have already about two black-necked grebes ringed in Spain and resighted in Romania.
