Over 4 weeks, more than 100 pupils from Bra\u0219ov, Harghita, Mure\u0219 and Sibiu counties attended the camp and were accommodated in yurts. The traditional childrens camp was organised for the 8<sup>th<\/sup> time, drawing back many participants for whom the camp has become a yearly tradition.<!--more-->\n\nBesides the traditional camp, two other camps were organised this year, by the Administration of Dealurile T\u00e2rnavelor-Valea Nirajului Natura 2000 (Milvus Group also takes part of the administration), and funded by the European Union Regional Fund project. In both of these camps pupils from the Dealurile T\u00e2rnavelor-Valea Nirajului Natura 2000 had the opportunity to take part for the first time in Milvus Forest School.\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/tabara-si-excursie-rasplata-pentru-castigatorii-concursului-si-eu-fac-parte-din-natura-2000\/6630\">On the fourth week the camp was organised for pupils from Podi\u0219ul H\u00e2rtibaciului, financed by the (SOP) and implemented by WWF\u00a0Romania.<\/a>\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10309198_822389537780035_2165494857189737740_n.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-25769\" src=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10309198_822389537780035_2165494857189737740_n-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"10309198_822389537780035_2165494857189737740_n\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10309198_822389537780035_2165494857189737740_n-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/milvus.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10309198_822389537780035_2165494857189737740_n.jpg 540w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>The programme of the camps was very diverse, incorporating activities to teach the children about the flora and fauna of the area, nurture the eco-awareness of the participants and increase their respect for nature. Then here was the entertainment, with the participants given the opportunity to play archery, rounders, ecological games and a traditional game with shepherds whips.\n\nWith the help of Milvus Group colleagues, participants of the camps became familiarized with bird ringing, owl pellet analysing, small mammal trapping, wild animal tracks, as well as learning first-hand about the common amphibians, reptiles and fish species from Niraj valley.\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10464254_814980295187626_2575684761952365365_n.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-25775\" src=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10464254_814980295187626_2575684761952365365_n-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"10464254_814980295187626_2575684761952365365_n\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/milvus.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10464254_814980295187626_2575684761952365365_n-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/milvus.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10464254_814980295187626_2575684761952365365_n.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>We had guests who presented interesting activities: Istv\u00e1n Ur\u00e1k (from Sapientia University) presented the life of insects, Andrea Zsigmond (Sapientia University) made chemical analyses of the water together with the particpants and Tibor Hartel (Universitatea Sapientia) presented the meadows and taught about the trees and their development. From Babe\u0219-Bolyai University B\u00e1lint Mark\u00f3 visited us and presented the social life of ants.
