We started to visit schools as early as the mid-&#8217;90s. We used to hold bird presentations with slide-projectors which now would rather make people smile. Since then, we have been trying to reach out to the younger generation with better electronic devices. We developed an interactive programme for children in pre-primary and primary schools.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-49b88c3 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"49b88c3\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-ad3099a\" data-id=\"ad3099a\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-070374e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"070374e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Over the years, we organised almost 1,000 activities and had over 15,000 young participants. As per our competitions, by which many skills and competences may be developed, we aim to attract children who are not particularly interested in the natural values. We strive to offer many outdoor activities so children can find out more and also grow fond of nature&#8217;s wonders. We carry out these activities as part of various programmes, such as our &#8220;Forest School&#8221; programme, field trips or &#8220;Alternative School Week&#8221; (a national programme of the government). However, most probably our Forest School educational camps have the biggest impact on children.<\/p><p>Far from civilisation, children have the opportunity to become more familiar with the natural world, by adapting to the laws of nature.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column programmes. We published several booklets:<a href=\"http:\/\/milvus.ro\/publication\/miniatlasul-vietuitoarelor-sumar\/\"> mini atlas<\/a>,<a href=\"http:\/\/milvus.ro\/publication\/micii-detectivi-ai-naturii\/\"> animal tracks guide<\/a>, bird colouring books, <a href=\"http:\/\/milvus.ro\/publication\/copiii-si-natura-2000-colectie-de-jocuri-in-natura\/\">collection of ecological games,<\/a> various teaching packages (<a href=\"http:\/\/milvus.ro\/publication\/natura-dascal-pentru-dascali-metode-educative-pentru-promovarea-retelei-natura-2000\/\">Natura- dasc\u0103l pentru dasc\u0103li<\/a> + <a href=\"http:\/\/milvus.ro\/publication\/natura-dascal-pentru-dascali-ilustratii-pentru-promovarea-retelei-natura-2000\/\">ilustra\u021bii<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/milvus.ro\/publication\/cum-sa-ajutam-iarna-pasarile\/\">Bird feeding<\/a>). We hope we have contributed to motivating teachers in setting up activities about birds and nature conservation for children.<br \/>There&#8217;s already a new generation that grew up at our side and we have peers either in our organisation or working in the same field.
