<\/a><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>In the first year (2010<\/strong>) we were able to make observations only in the northern part of Dobrogea, in the following 15 observation points: M\u0103cin Mountains \u2013 Pricopan Peak, Rachelu, Niculi\u021bel, Peceneaga, Praporgescu, Consul, Denistepe, Agighiol, Be\u0219tepe, H\u00e2r\u0219ova, Rahmanu, Vasile Alecsandri, Caugagia, Enisala <\/em>and Allah Bair<\/em>.<\/strong> The observations in 2010 were made between 20and 30 September.<\/p>
In\u00a02011<\/strong>\u00a0we made observations in the southern part of Dobrogea. The observations were made simultaneously in 13 observation points during between 19September and 1 October:\u00a0Capidava, Allah Bair, Pantelimon, Dobrogea Gorge, Gura Dobrogei, Ostrov, Bugeac, Lipni\u021ba, Ion Corvin, \u0218ipotele, Negre\u0219ti, Amzacea\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Techirghiol.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/p>
The period of the studies was chosen in such a way to overlap with the main migration period of one of our key species in raptor conservation, the Lesser Spotted Eagle.<\/p>
The observations were made every day between 9.00 AM and 6.00 PM, and weather conditions were noted every hour. In case of fog or rain observations were cancelled.<\/p>
Besides the raptor species other large migrating bird species were noted down as well: White Stork (Ciconia ciconia<\/em>), Black Stork (Ciconia nigra<\/em>), White Pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus<\/em>), Dalmatian Pelican (Pelecanus crispus<\/em>), geese, cormorants.<\/p>
In addition to the species listed in the tables below, birds considered rarities for the country were also observed. In 2011 two individuals of Eleonora`s Falcon (Falco eleonorae<\/em>) were observed at Amzacea and Bugeac observation points, one Pallid Swift (Apus pallida<\/em>) at Amzacea, one Buff-breasted Sandpiper (Tryngites subruficollis<\/em>) at Techirghiol, which was observed for the first time in the country and one Eurasian Dotterel (Charadrius morinellus<\/em>) at Gura Dobrogei.<\/p>
All these data collected during the camps are very important in the conservation of migrating birds and the habitats they use during migration. We would like to thank those who helped us organize these camps:<\/p>
