Winners of the Milvus Scholarships in 2017

We thank to all whom have shown interest in our Scholarship. In total, we received 20 projects from all over the country. After a comprehensive analysis of the proposed topics, here is the final list of projects that will receive funding this year: Păun Georgiana Elena –  Estimation of the potential distribution of Vipera ursinii rakosiensis in the Transylvanian Plate using ecological niche models”, Cîșlariu Alina Georgiana – Assessment of the conservation status of Ligularia sibirica populations in the Northwest of Romania”, Oana Morozan – Measures for in situ conservation of the Carpathian endemic Saussurea porcii in the Rodnei Mountain Biosphere Reserve Borbély Edina  –  Dwarf Birch (Betula nana) as glacial relic in Luci Marsh Sotek Alexandru – Populations of Euscorpius carpathicus in Romania: integrated ecology and molecular taxonomy studies Lőrincz Csanád Endre – Morphological and genetic study of sand lizard subspecies (Lacerta agilis) Petronel Spaseni – In search of new populations of Vipera ursinii moldavica in the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Györkös Péter – Morphological and genetic study of the European green lizard (Lacerta viridis) Fuciu Cătălin – Evaluation and monitoring of the Eurasian Pygmy Owl (Glaucidium passerinum) and Boreal Owl (Aegolius funereus) in the Păltiniș area Rădac Ioan-Alexandru – New bruchidae (Insecta: Coleoptera) and heteroptera (Insecta: Hemiptera) species, allogeneic in Romania and the Republic of Moldova This year’s funding amount was 16, 657 RON.
