Daróczi J. Szilárd

Member of the board. Licensed ringer of the Romanian Ornithological Center . He is one of the focal points of the “Raptor conservation and research program”. Currently working in the frame of the “Raptor conservation in central Transylvania ” project. He is organizing environmental education activities in schools. Involved in the majority of ongoing projects.

Deák Borbála

Administrative secretary of the „Milvus Group” Bird and Nature Protection Association, joining the team in September 2005. Main fields of activity are the registry and connection with members, financial administration, everyday duties in the office and the translation and proof-reading of the Migrans and the Kolompszó newsletters.

Domokos Csaba

Member of the Milvus Group since 2004, mainly interested in large carnivore conservation. Coordinator of the “Brown bear conservation and research programme in a model area in Romania”, a program running since 2006. Also coordinates a sustainable rural development programme in the 5 villages of Neaua parish (Mures county), as well as the Romanian implementation of an international project entitled “Transeuropean Wildlife Networks” (mitigation of the negative effects of transport infratructure development on habitat connectivity). Biologist, also with a degree expected in Tourism.

Hegyeli Zsolt

Member of Milvus Group since 2003, with main activities within the Mammal Conservation Working Group. His main fields of interest are biogeography and conservation of steppic mammals. Involved in projects concerning mammal research and conservation, as well as activities regarding protection of diurnal raptors. Currently working in the Life Nature Project “Conservation of Aquila pomarina in Romania”.

Kecskés Attila

Member of the Milvus Group Bird and Nature Protection Association since 1994. Founder and leader of the Mammal Conservation Working Group. Biologist with main interrest in the biology of the wolf and the brown bear, studuying predominantly the problems arising from their interactions with humans.

Komáromi István

Vice president. He is involved in the raptor conservation and research program. Employed by the association he is currently working in the Natura 2000 team. Coordinator of the project “Conservation of flagship raptors in the South Western Carpathians”. His main fields of interests are golden eagle and peregrine falcon monitoring and conservation.

Kovács István

Leader of the Research and Monitoring Working Group. Freshly graduated biologist working in raptor conservation and research, the designation of Natura 2000 sites for birds (SPAs) in Romania and bird ringing. The main field of activity is the survey and monitoring of the golden eagle and peregrine falcon breeding populations in Romania.

Nagy Attila

Member of the Milvus Group since 2002. Working mainly in the western part of the country, dealing with wetland and waterfowl issues, as the leader of the Waterbird Conservation Working Group. He is the coordinator of the Red-footed Falcon conservation program. Working also on nature protected areas and the implementation of the Natura 2000 network.

Papp Tamás

Founder of the Milvus Group, president of the organization.

Biologist, graduated at Babes Bolyai University of Cluj. Licensed ringer of the Romanian Ornithological Center. Coordinating the work of the organization. Currently project coordinator in the “Conservation of Aquila pomarina in Romania” Life project. Mostly interested in Natura 2000, Stork conservation and Birds and Powerlines WGs. Member of the  “Representative council” of the Romanian Natura 2000 Ngo Coalition (www.natura2000.ro). Regular member of the Advisory Committee of Ceeweb (www.ceeweb.org).

Zeitz Róbert

He is actively taking part in many of the Milvus Groups programs such as research and conservation projects, monitoring of bird populations in N2000 sites.  Currently working in the “Conservation of Aquila pomarina in Romania” Life project as project officer in the Podişul Hîrtibaciului N2000 site.

Tibor Sos

Biologist with master in applied ecology. Member of the group from 2003, mainly interested in amphibian and reptile biology and conservation (www.tiborsos.webs.com). Founder of the Amphibian and Reptile Protection Working Group. Initiator of the Trachemys Adoption – Romanian Coalition (www.freewebs.com/trachemysadoption), group which popularize the problem of released exotic turtles in nature. Member of Natura 2000 team.

Kórász

Member of the Milvus Group Bird and Nature Protection Association since 2002, working mainly in the Mammal Conservation Working Group. The only taxonomically not humanoid member of the association, belonging to the species Canis lupus familiaris . Her main activity is testing and attracting the attention of the sheperd dogs, searching for remains of wolf preys and defending the main office.
