The Lesser Spotted Eagle (Aquila pomarina) is one of the raptor species with an unfavorable conservation status. Its Romanian population is particularly significant from a conservational viewpoint, as almost a quarter of the European breeding population lives in Romania. Within the frame of the project that views the conservation of the species, entitled “Conservation of Aquila pomarina in Romania” (LIFE08 NAT/RO/000501), members of “Milvus Group” Bird and Nature Protection Association managed to capture two adults Lesser Spotted Eagles on May 10, in one of the project’s target areas. The birds were equipped with satellite transmitters which will help track their movement for minimum one year, so we will receive important information about their home range, habitat use, and beginning with autumn also about their migration routes and wintering sites. The two birds received other markings as well, such as aluminum and color rings (with code numbers) and wing feather paintings. After the migration period that begins in September, it will be possible to track the movement of birds on the www.pomarina.ro website, currently under development.
Kedves barátaim, (elnézést a tegezésért, mind gyermekeim lehetnétek, azt hiszem) megrögzött természetbarát, állatvédő vagyok, csak úgy a magam örömére, s mert abban hiszek, hogy csak ez biztosítja a földi élet jövőjét. Csodálom a munkátokat, amit ilyen téren végeztek, de fel vagyok háborodva, hogy magyarul nem találom a honlapotokat. Hajdan az én tanáraim nem vittek ki a természetbe, megmutatni, milyen csoda is az, ma sem ismerem a növényeket, madarakat, mármint a magyar megnevezésüket. Ezért a tavaly 8000 érts nyolc ezer forintot költöttem egy madárhatározóra, amely Európa közel 800 madarát mutatja be. Mert a madárszeretet is ott kezdődik, hogy anyanyelveden meg tudod nevezni ezeket a szárnyas csodákat, ha nem vagy szakember. És egyébként is, tudnotok kell, hogy a magyar az egyetlen olyan nyelv, ahol minden madárnak, növénynek saját neve van, és nem a latin elferdített változata. Na kérdem én, a gyurgyalagot vagy akárcsak a gólyát, de a fecskét (a nyáron 8. emeleti ablakom sarkába raktak fészket, és minden nap a fészeképítésük csodáját érhettem meg) is csak mi nevezzük így. És még sorolhatnék legalább 700 megnevezést (mert a kormorán vagy pingvin más nyelven is az, a kakukkot is ide sorolhatom pl.) Egyszóval célotok eléréséhez szükséges az anyanyelv ismerete, az anyanyelvi terminus technicusok, azaz szakkifejezések. Fontoljátok meg, gondoljátok végig. Jó munkát, sok sikert az új évben.
