Yesterday morning in Târgu Mureș, a Yellow-Legged Gull nestling fell from about 15 meters. It was ringed and with the help of some good people, we managed to place it on a terraced roof near the nest, from where it could call its parents. The adults did appear almost immediately, hovering above us constantly, while we took care of the little one. We are in the period when young birds are leaving the nests! Please do not “save them”, try to place them on a higher perch (trees, terraces) where they will be in safety. The parents will take care of them!
